Yup this stuff works! Definitely want to do it at night though cause your mouth and teeth do go black before they go white but I love that it works to get my teeth clean of coffee stains and that it is so natural.

Activated charcoal is very effective at whitening teeth and binding to toxins. Although the use of activated charcoal will temporarily make your mouth look black, it will whiten your teeth and remove stains long term. Zero Xeno's formula includes calcium bentonite clay to help re-mineralize your teeth. 
 
Our activated charcoal comes from coconut shells, is food-grade and is activated using a standardized steam-activation process.
 
Natural occurring volcanic ash mined in the United States is where our calcium bentonite clay is sourced from. It is tested to be free of heavy metal contaminates and is food-grade quality.
 
Activated charcoal and calcium bentonite clay are potentially effective at preventing cavities as they alter the pH of the mouth, creating an unfavorable environment for bacteria to grow. 
 
When charcoal is steam-activated, it becomes a highly porous substance that binds toxins and adsorbs tannins (pigments found in various food and drink), while removing stains and whitening teeth in the process.
 
*Note: Activated charcoal (also called 'Biochars') adsorbs (detoxes) various hormone disruptors like bisphenol A (BPA), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and Atrazine (a pesticide).
 
Directions
Apply small amount to wet toothbrush. Brush teeth normally and rinse mouth well with fresh water. Use 1 - 2 times per week. Best used at night before bed.
